Fena Houtman
Fena Houtman is the protagonist of the anime and is also responsible for recruiting a group of ninjas to help her on her journey. These ninjas later become known as the Seven Samurai.
Among the characters in Kaizoku Oujo, Fena is one of the most courageous, determined and full of leadership spirit. She is the princess who fled the island of Shangri-La and the British Empire, but it is not because of her title that people come to respect her, but because of her strength of character.
Yukimaru Sanada
Yukimaru is the closest to Fena among the characters in Kaizoku Oujo. He and the princess grew up together and, for this reason, he is very protective of her. Sanada possesses a katana from Fena's family lineage and is an expert ninja.
He is one of the Seven Samurai who accompany the girl on her journey, exercising a certain leadership over them. He also has introversion as one of his main characteristics, as well as formidable combat skills.
Karin
She is the only woman among the Seven Samurai and one of the main characters in Kaizoku Oujo. She is known for being the "blacksmith of the group" and is very enthusiastic about technology and creating machines.
She was brought up by a family of blacksmiths who, like her, have a passion for technology and its advances, and they were responsible for creating the rifle she uses in combat. She is also known for being a very loyal and dedicated person.
Shitan

Enju
He is the eldest of the Seven Samurai twins and also one of the main characters in Kaizoku Oujo. He is very fast and agile, capable of taking on many pirates and even coming out victorious.
Like his brother, he uses spears and wakizashi in combat and is considered mischievous and friendly. The crucial difference between them is that Enju can be considered a little more reliable and loyal than Kaede.
Kaede
He is Enju's younger brother and one of the main characters in Kaizoku Oujo. Although he is identical to his twin and also has a more friendly and mischievous personality, he usually shows more strength than his twin.
He also uses spears and wakizashi in combat and is not considered as loyal and reliable as Enju in general. Nevertheless, he is part of the Seven Samurai troupe and has joined Fena on his journey.
Tsubaki
Time to meet the troupe's cook. Tsubaki is the oldest member of the Seven Samurai and, because of this, has a more centered personality and sometimes appeases the problems caused by the excess energy of the other members of the group.
Despite being responsible for the gang's food, the boy is also an excellent fighter and lives up to his position in the Seven Samurai, fighting with a short sword when in the field. He is one of Kaizoko Oujo's calmest and most responsible characters.
Makaba
Makaba is a big boy who likes to fight in small places with his fists. He's a very good fighter and deserves his place in the Seven Samurai and Fena's crew.
Despite his size and fighting style, Makaba is one of Kaizoko Oujo's most gentle and kind-hearted characters. Of course, when he's not on the battlefield because in combat he's unstoppable.
Salman
Salman is not one of the main characters in Kaizoku Oujo, but one of the secondary ones. He has known Fena since she was a little girl, having served the Houtman family. He is known as "Salman the Striker" because of his incredible skill with spears.
Although he was once a warrior, he is now just an older knight. His combat skills are still intact, but his age no longer helps him when it comes to fighting.
Otto
Like Salman, Otto is also one of the older knights who has lived through his best years on the battlefield, but now his age doesn't help. He also functions as a secondary character in Kaizoku Oujo.
He was known as "Otto the Blitz" in his younger days because he was so skilled at fencing. He also served the Houtman family as Salman, so he has known Fena since childhood. His appearance is very similar to that of another character created by the same author as Kaizoku Oujo, Boris Meyer from the anime B: The Beginning. Interestingly, the English voice actor for both characters is the same.
