Shall we?

Michael Scott (Steve Carell)

The character Michael Scott, played by actor Steve Carell, is the regional manager of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. He was the protagonist of the series until the seventh season, when he left the production. Fans got a happy ending when he returned at the end of the series, making for a pleasant surprise, but he was certainly a great main character.

Michael has a somewhat exaggerated view of himself and believes that he is extremely respected by his employees. This causes him to be offensive at inopportune moments and he doesn't always understand when he's being ridiculed by someone on his team, which gives the audience plenty of hilarious scenes.

Throughout the seven seasons in which he has appeared, Michael is one of the characters in The Office who has been in a few relationships. Jan and Holly were part of his love life and Holly was the one he married and had children with.

Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson)

Comedy series usually have that funny nerd and, in The Office, Dwight Schrute is that character! He appears in every season and begins his journey as one of Dunder Mifflin's salesmen, but as the years go by, he manages to rise through the ranks of the company and becomes the assistant regional manager. When the series ends, Dwight gets the job of regional manager!

Weird, nerdy, intense and hard-working, Schrute's presence in the series brought many crazy and strange moments that amused the audience. With Rainn Wilson's brilliant performance, Dwight got himself into countless unpredictable situations, such as when he disguised himself as a burn victim and wrapped himself in bandages in order to apply for the job of manager.

He is also another character from The Office series who develops a love interest, this time with Angela, and this relationship results in a wedding. This wedding was the event responsible for bringing together several characters who had left the show, bringing nostalgia to the fans.

Jim Halpert (John Krasinski)

Jim Halpert is that sober character amidst the comedy insanity of The Office. The series needed at least one more serious character to react to all the show's unusual situations, and that's why Jim appeared in the plot. He loved playing tricks on his colleague Dwight, but it was with his boss Michael that we saw interactions full of humor.

Jim began his professional journey as a sales representative, but it wasn't long before he was promoted to assistant regional manager and then co-manager. However, Jim is one of the characters in The Office who ends up leaving his job at Dunder Mifflin in order to fulfill his dream of owning his own sports marketing company.

He also marries one of his coworkers. Jim meets Pam and the two start a relationship in the fourth season, from dating to marriage and two children.

Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer)

Pam Beesly, like Jim, was another character in The Office series who contrasted with the chaos of the workplace, being a more serious and composed woman. She appears in the plot, at first, as a receptionist at Dunder Mifflin, but is later promoted to saleswoman and, consecutively, to office administrator in the other seasons that follow.

She had a friendship with Michael and Jim, with whom she developed a love interest and then a marriage. They both had two children and, when the series came to an end, she sold their house to support Jim's dream with his sports marketing company, as he wanted to move to Austin. As soon as the house was sold, the couple quit their jobs and made the move.

Ryan Howard (B. J. Novak)

One of the characters in The Office series who started out as a temp, Ryan Howard took on basic tasks for Michael, but in the third season he is promoted and gets a corporate job in New York. Later, he returns to the office to take over the receptionist's position left by Pam.

Ryan is a somewhat troubled character, getting into a lot of trouble while working at Dunder Mifflin, being arrested for fraud and becoming addicted to illicit substances. He also falls in love with a coworker, Kelly, with whom he has an unstable relationship. He left the show in the final season, but returned for the closing scene at Dwight and Angela's wedding and reunited with his former love.

Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling)

Kelly Kapoor works in customer service and is a fan of pop culture, being one of the characters in The Office who has appeared regularly on the show since the beginning of the series. Like some of the cast, she left the show before the ninth season, but returned for the finale, like the rest of her colleagues.

She and Ryan were briefly married, but divorced a week later, but remained lovers. That was until Kelly met Ravi and became his fiancée, leaving her job at Dunder Mifflin and moving to Ohio. She ends up missing most of the ninth season, but returns during Dwight and Angela's wedding, where she meets Ryan (her ex) and runs away with him.

Andy Bernard (Ed Helms)

Andy Bernard is one of the characters in The Office who first appeared in the third season, as the Regional Director in charge of sales at the Stanford branch (where Jim was transferred). In the future, the Stanford and Scranton branches merge and Andy moves to Scranton to work with and flatter Michael, hoping to take over his job once Michael leaves the company.

He even manages to become the Regional Manager in the eighth season of the series, but ends up being fired. The dismissal was just what he needed to pursue his dream and try his luck on a show that features a singing competition, but he ends up going viral on the internet. At the end of the series, Andy gets a job at Cornell University.

Stanley Hudson (Leslie David Baker)

Stanley is one of the characters in The Office who stands out from the start, mainly because of his grumpy personality and his deep desire to retire soon. He's the sales rep and is often seen doing crosswords during work meetings, as well as making it clear to Michael that he can't stand him and asking him to "leave him alone".

Stanley had a bond of friendship with Phyllis, but otherwise he just kept repeating that he wanted to "have a decommissioned lighthouse, and I want to live at the top - and nobody knows I live there, and there's a button I can press and launch this lighthouse into space". He finally manages to retire and leaves Phyllis a gift of a wooden bird that he carved himself.

Kevin Malone (Brian Baumgartner)

Kevin Malone is a member of the accounting department at the Scranton branch, but he has no great ambitions beyond relaxing on a beach and eating hot dogs. He ends up being fired by Dwight during a meeting where Kevin receives a cake with "Get Out" written on it and this shakes the friendship between the two characters. However, they work it out and Kevin opens a bar and makes a patented recipe for Chili.

"I wanted to eat a pig in a blanket - in a blanket." This was one of the many wishes that Kevin verbalized throughout his participation in the series.

Angela Martin (Angela Kinsey)

Angela is the senior accountant at the Scranton branch and one of the characters in The Office who was present from the beginning to the end of the series. She had a brief relationship with Dwight in the second season, but broke up with him and became engaged to Andy in the fourth season. However, she ends up cheating on Andy with Dwight.

She also marries the Pennsylvania State Senator, having one of the busiest love lives in the series, but soon divorces him and he comes out as gay. Angela even has Dwight's baby in the eighth season, but doesn't tell him he's the father until he asks her to marry him in the ninth season. So Angela and Dwight get married and bring together almost all of the series' memorable characters for the ceremony.

Oscar Martínez (Oscar Nuñez)

Oscar Martínez is one of the smartest employees in the office, always seen telling his colleagues facts or correcting their grammar. His nickname "actually" comes precisely from his habit of always saying these words in any conversation. He is also a gay character, who ended up having his sexual orientation exposed by Michael in one of the episodes of the third season.

He ends up having an affair with the State Senator, who had married Angela. Oscar is one of the characters in The Office who really stands out for his genius and this is proven when, at the end of the series, he runs for State Senator of Pennsylvania and wins!
