Solo Leveling is the anime of the season. Of all the titles recently released in Japan, the adaptation of the manhwa created by Chugong is the one that has received the most attention from the general public. This is also due to the unique way in which the characters are introduced, showing that intelligence can be a much more important weapon in combat than brute strength alone.

Igris
Igris is a shadow of Grau Marshal and proves to be very strong and powerful in the protagonist's personal army. His powers range from superhuman strength to telekinesis, regeneration and sword skills. He first appears in episode 12 to test Jin-Woo on his change of class.
Little is known about Igris' level of education, but he is seen helping Jin-Woo with his math test and also being one of the only shadows to question why he is serving him, demonstrating very sharp thinking. Igris deserves to be among the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling because of these attitudes.
Yoo Jinho
Despite not being very strong and having little battle experience, Jinho has proven to be very useful in the field since his first appearance in episode 1 of the anime. He is a level D tank hunter who has a very strong friendship with the protagonist Jin-Woo and secures his place among the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling due to his bravery and quick thinking.
Even though he's not that strong, since Jin-Woo takes the lead in physical combat whenever the two of them are in a fight, Jinho has already been able to save an elderly couple from rubble during the Tokyo incident. He also managed to stay conscious even after being badly tortured by the character Hwang Dongsoo.
Go Gun-Hee
Having made his first appearance in the very first episode, Gun-Hee is another of Solo Leveling's more intelligent characters. He was known as one of the strongest hunters in the world and was one of the humans who had the honor of being granted the power of one of the rulers. However, his old age has taken its toll and he is no longer as powerful as he once was.
Despite possessing formidable abilities such as strength, speed, manifestation of the spiritual body and the authority of the ruler, we hardly see him put these attributes into practice in the anime. However, his leadership skills are given great prominence and the character's full potential is well exploited in this regard.
Choi Jong-In
Jong-In is a Rank S hunter who is considered one of the strongest mages in all of Korea. Among his skills, the ones that stand out the most are fire magic, enhanced speed and refined endurance. Fire magic can give him a few tricks up his sleeve, such as summoning a fire dragon and a prison of flames. Choi Jong-In can be a good strategist when using his powers and this makes him one of the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling.
His first appearance is in the very first episode and he is well respected. He is mainly responsible for his hunter's guild becoming the country's leading guild and, considering that he is an S Rank hunter, it's not just his intelligence that he relies on. Although he prefers to use it rather than going into combat, he is also quite strong in physical terms.
Beru
Like Igris, Beru is a Marshal-level shadow in Jin-Woo's personal army, and is the Ant King's shadow. He is one of the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling and his skills include strength, speed, endurance, conversation, absorbing skills and knowledge, healing and many other things.
He has yet to make his debut in the anime, having first appeared in the manhwa in chapter 105 as a powerful enemy. After being defeated by the protagonist, he is revived as one of the shadows of his army, adding his knowledge and powers to Jin-Woo's arsenal.
Antares
Antares is one of the oldest monarchs in the universe and one of the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling. He is able to demonstrate superhuman strength, greater than normal endurance, telepathy, manifestation of the spiritual body and also an ability called "Fear of the Dragon". This gives the user a mana-filled scream straight from his soul that causes weaker enemies to enter a state of panic that incapacitates them.
The character is seen as a leader for the monarchs and, although his combat skills are always in the spotlight, his wisdom is second to none, which is seen during the arc of the monarchs' war against Jin-Woo. His first appearance is in chapter 163 of Manhwa and from then on his skills have always impressed readers, which will be no different in the anime when he finally appears there.
The architect
Also known as Kandiaru, The Architect was the creator of the entire System that is brought about by the Solo Leveling storyline. He can be considered one of the strongest Solo Leveling characters. He was one of Jin-Woo's greatest challenges in battle, knocking him away with a single punch.
He is also one of the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling, as he showed an immense knowledge of human psychology when he created the System responsible for transforming Jin-Woo into what he is today. In addition, he can be considered a kind of deity in the universe of the work and his first appearance is in the sixth chapter of the manhwa.
Ashborn
Ashborn is the Shadow Monarch, one of the most powerful beings in the game and also one of the most intelligent characters in Solo Leveling. He can manipulate shadows and even manipulate the shadows of his enemies to add them to his army.
