Captain Homeland
Starting with the best known: Captain Homeland! Among the main characters in the series The Boys, Captain Homeland is the most prominent, being the main antagonist of the entire plot and being present in a prominent role in every season. He is the leader of the group of heroes called The Seven and has made a name for himself as a superhero precisely because he is considered the most powerful of them all.
His abilities include: super strength, laser eyes, heightened senses, the ability to fly and x-ray vision. All this makes Captain Homeland a respected hero in the public eye, making him seem like a generous, kind man, dedicated to saving the innocent and altruistic. But as the episodes go by, we see that this is not the case...
In reality, Captain Patria is an extremely violent man, with no scruples whatsoever, bordering on psychopathy and only looking out for his own good and privileges. If he has to sacrifice dozens of innocent people to maintain his image as a hero, he'll do it. He is one of the heroes managed by the Vought International corporation and, as the seasons go by, the audience gets to know more of his true character.
Billy Butcher
Continuing with the main characters in The Boys series, we have the counterpoint to Captain Homeland: Billy Butcher! He's a former pilot in Britain's Space Air Service and the leader of a group of humans called The Boys, who see superheroes as a threat to humanity and stand up against them and their privileges.
Billy's plan is to take down The Seven and the Vought International corporation. His motivation is the disappearance of his wife, which he considers to be the fault of this company, but as the episodes go by he discovers that the reality could be much worse... Butcher is not at all humanistic, being driven by a sense of revenge that, at times, is no different from the hero and the system he wants so much to defeat.
Hughie Campbell
Hughie Campbell is one of the members of Billy's team, the second most relevant of the group among the main characters in The Boys series. He was just an ordinary human used to living a normal routine in a society full of heroes, but his life falls apart when he sees his girlfriend killed by one of the Seven.
The hero called Bullet Train is a speedster and ends up running over Hughie's girlfriend in what seemed to be an accident. However, the hero showed no remorse for the accident or the loss of a life, which led Hughie to become filled with hatred and begin to see heroes in a different light.
He ends up meeting Bill Butcher and joining The Boys, fighting against the society of heroes. However, even though he's at Billy's side, Hughie isn't as radical a character as his leader, showing insecurity and uncertainty at various points in the series.

Annie January is the character who, as a heroine, goes by the name of Starlight. She is a young girl from the countryside who has developed light-based powers and nurtured the dream of fighting for the good of humanity, wishing to join her country's main team of heroes: The Seven. She truly has a good heart and humanitarian concerns, believing that joining the team would be an honor, and for this reason she is among the main characters in the series The Boys.
However, after joining The Seven, she realizes the true face of the team and becomes frustrated several times. She reproduces the phrase "never meet your heroes" as a way of reinforcing how disappointed she is with her current reality and starts to dedicate herself to fighting evil individually, demonstrating the loss of innocence that the character had at the beginning of the series.

The Bullet Train is one of the main characters in The Boys and it is through him that we discover a whole scheme involving the heroes and a mysterious substance that can be highly addictive to them. Its ability consists of absurd speed, so fast that it is capable of destroying anyone who gets in its way (as happened to Hughie Campbell's girlfriend).
He joined The Seven, but before that he was part of a youth hero team called Teenage Kix, which is also run by the Vought International corporation. He's another character who shows a certain indifference, even though he's a hero who should be concerned about civilians and innocents, but his concern is to remain the fastest character today.
His addiction to Compound V ends up harming him throughout the series, causing him to have numerous irresponsible attitudes throughout the plot. This "Compound V" is an important point in the story and is behind the emergence of the heroes in this universe!
deep
The Deep One is another member of the Seven and is a clear reference to characters with aquatic powers, such as Aquaman. He is able to breathe underwater, move with speed when submerged and communicate with marine animals, having his body adapted for these abilities, which ends up being a source of jokes. At one point he is even removed from the main team, but soon returns to the center of the plot.
Despite being one of the main characters in The Boys series, the Deep One is a laughing stock among the group of heroes and is seen as the weakest of the Seven, being considered the least relevant. At various times we have this character as comic relief, since he has two talking gills in his belly, as well as having a love affair with a very peculiar sea animal...
Tempesta
Tempesta is one of the new main characters in the series The Boys, in the second season of the Prime Video franchise. She appears in the story as a new member of the Seven and stands out for having diverse abilities, much like Captain Homeland, who also has a wide range of powers.
She can manipulate lightning, fly, has super regeneration, super strength and great durability. This set of powers has earned her a place in the Seven, but despite being called a hero, Tempesta can have a personality as bad and twisted as Captain Homeland himself.
She tries to seduce Captain Homeland and shows a great interest in using her powers, combined with those of her leader, to harm various minorities, instead of really fighting crime.
Sister Sage
Sister Sage is the new character in season four and, even though she doesn't have any additional powers or many physical attributes, she has already secured a place among the main characters in The Boys. She is a heroine capable of using her advanced intellect to strategize and find solutions to even the most complex problems. Her great intelligence has placed her among the Sente and made her the personal advisor to Captain Homeland himself!
The character also stands out for confronting her leader - Captain Homeland - on several of his ideas, which ends up generating unusual reactions from the character. As the episodes go by, we see the clash between these two villains escalate and the course of the two as a team is redefined.
Kimiko
Kimiko is one of the main characters in The Boys and another member of Billy's group, but unlike the others, she's not human. The character possesses a power that makes her a lethal weapon and her own body is a machine for destroying enemies! She is initially presented as an unpredictable character, but as time goes by she is taken in by The Boys and becomes a great ally.
Her past is extremely sad, and it is revealed that she was raised for the illegal trafficking of empowered children, with the crimes coordinated by a terrorist organization in her home country. At times, the series makes her confront members of this terrorist group, which gives us scenes of violence and the search for redemption.
French
The character codenamed French is another member of Billy's group. He is a weapons expert with violent tendencies and is one of the most lethal members of The Boys. In addition to his war skills, he also has a naturally keen sense of smell, which makes him an excellent sniffer, facilitating various tracking missions for his team.
He is one of the main characters in The Boys and ended up forming a direct relationship with Kimiko, always trying to protect her and becoming her love interest. He is a crucial part of The Boys team and is present in every season of the series, having a good relationship with his teammates.
Milk
Finishing off our list of the main characters in The Boys series is Leitinho, the last member of Billy's group and by far one of the most mature and sober members of the team. He shows a contrast with Butcher's ideas, clashing with him in some situations and proving to be much more thoughtful.
